Better with you

Life is better when I’m with you.

Together, I feel calm and at peace.

I’m more the person I want to be under your roof.

That’s what makes it so hard to leave.

The transition back is always painful.

It does not get easier with time.

They say, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”

I can’t help but do both.
